This is my first post. This is my first blog, actually. So I don't really know how to start these things, but I'm guessing an Introduction is warranted (assuming someone other than myself might actually one day be unlucky enough to find this crap and read it and wonder about who the hell is writing it).
I'm starting this blog mostly because I like to write long rants about current events and fanciful musings about the future of science and technology and philosophical discourses, but my friends don't always want to read them.
This is an easy way for me to record what I want to write in an easily accessible medium before I forget what I wanted to say and without pissing off my friends by clogging their inboxes with it or causing awkward silences at parties. If anyone happens to find this stuff and wants to strike up an intelligent conversation about anything I've brought up, or to bring up their own interesting topics, then I think that'll be pretty cool too.
